Amid issues on candidacy of Karla Estrada, her best friend issued an apology
KARLA ESTRADA – The best friend of the Magandang Buhay host apologized to fans of KathNiel amid issues on her candidacy.
Karla is running as third nominee of Tingog Partylist, led by Congresswoman Yedda Marie Romualdez in the May 2022 elections.
Following her candidacy, a group of KathNiel fans explicitly expressed their dismay at Karla’s decision to support the party list, specifically Romualdez, who voted not to renew the ABS-CBN franchise.
Recently, @MMXIkathniel which has 17,000 followers posted an open letter on Twitter addressed to Karla.
Their open letter reached 4,000 retweets saying they were ready to unleash their support for KathNiel once they learned the two were in favor of Karla’s political affiliation.
The KathNiel fan group was disappointed because they said they did not want to support the partylist that Karla belongs to because it was against their stand.
On Thursday, October 14, Karla’s best friend Armando Cruz, nicknamed Dho, admitted that he talked to KathNiel fans to share Karla’s campaign teaser for the 2022 elections.
He apologized to KathNiel fans who relented over their involvement in Karla’s campaign in the 2022 elections due to the controversial “misleading” teaser.
Cruz released his official statement via Instagram account.
He said he was the one who “voluntarily” shared with “some KathNiel fans” to post Karla’s teaser.

In the end, KathNiel had nothing to do with Karla’s candidacy.
The mother of Daniel Padilla has yet to issue an official statement regarding the backlash she earned from KathNiel fans.
