Many showbiz personalities are trying their luck in the upcoming elections. One of their primary reasons for venturing into politics is to expand their platform in helping others.

Among those who recently filed their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) are Bobby Andrews, Angelu de Leon, Raffy Tulfo, Ejay Falcon, Robbin Padilla and to name a few.

Adding to the list of celebrities-turned-election hopefuls is no less than Magandang Buhay host, Karla Estrada.

On Friday, October 8, Karla filed her certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) together with other nominees of Tingog Sinirangan.

The party-list group which claims to represent the Eastern Visayas region in Congress was among that voted to reject the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN.

To recall, it was on July 10, 2020, when 70 lawmakers including Yedda Romualdez, the incumbent representative of Tingog Sinirangan, voted “Yes” to the resolution rejecting the renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise.

Recently, the actress took to the image-sharing platform, wherein she posted a message about politics.

The art card she posted says: “IT’S JUST POLITICS… Don’t let our political preferences destroy friendships & relationships. We need to respect each other’s choices.”

Meanwhile, right after filing her COC, fans of celebrity love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla – also known as KathNiel, expressed their disappointment pointing out the irony of Karla Estrada’s move.
