It was just recently when Leni announced her candidacy for president in the coming elections.

But before her pronouncement, Angel took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein she posted a photo of herself wearing a pink top accompanied by the caption: “Good morning” as she shows support for VP Leni.

She also went to the image-sharing platform, Instagram posting a message: “Women will govern. Women will lead. Women will vote,” with a pink background.

Previously, her husband Neil Arce defended her against bashers claiming she plans to run in the coming elections just because she extended help to people in need.

Angel Locsin is one of the many artists who have no qualms when it comes to helping others, especially to those who are really deserving of help.

In fact, amid the rising of the community pantry this year, she also launched her own pantry during her birthday. However, it was stopped due to series of unfortunate incidents.

Because of her active participation in such causes, she was often misunderstood. She was even accused of doing such in return for much gaining public attention which might lead her to a higher position particularly in the government.

To address bashers who claimed she will run this election, her husband Neil Arce took to the image-sharing platform, Instagram wherein he defended anew his wife against bashers claiming she plans to run in the coming elections just because she extended help to people in need.

It would be recalled that Angel clarified this issue a long time ago in an interview with talent manager and showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz.

“Maglalagay tayo ng senador na karapat-dapat, hindi ako,” she said.
