Manny Pacquiao Speaks on Boxing Career, Political Goals

MANNY PACQUIAO – The boxer-turned-senator who recently announced his bid for president in 2022 spoke about his boxing career.

As what Kapamilya actress-TV host Toni Gonzaga said, it was Pacman who placed the Philippines on the map with regards to boxing. The eight-division world champion really brought a huge honor to the country with his wins in the international arena.

Truth be told that not only the victories of Pacman brought honor to the country but as well as how he handled his defeats. There were also several fights when the Filipino boxing legend lost to his opponent but what caught the people was not his defeat but his faith in God after every fall.

Pacquiao is vocal that he was once a person who did a lot of things that were against the will of God. Meanwhile, he strived to change and be a better person.

In his recent vlog interview with Toni Gonzaga, the boxer-turned-senator expressed that his inclination in public service is more about his commitment to God than to the people. According to him, if he is committed to the people, his mind may change but if he is committed to God, he really has to do what he must do.

Sen. Manny Pacquiao is running for president in Election 2022. During the interview, he was asked about his boxing career in case he will win the presidency.

According to the Filipino boxing legend, his boxing career is over. He revealed that even his family is already asking him to stop and it was just his passion that made him continue.

“Tapos na. Kasi matagal na rin ako sa pagbu-boksing. Yung pamilya ko laging nagsasabi, ‘Tama na’,” he revealed during the interview.

Pacquiao expressed that he will just support boxers so the Philippines will have another champion in the sports. He stressed that no one can say who will be the “next Manny Pacquiao” as he did not take credit for what he achieved. He emphasized that it was God Who gave him blessings.
