Chito Miranda admitted that he’s excited for the release of Parokya Ni Edgar’s new album.
Parokya Ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda recently took to social media as he admitted that he’s excited for the release of the band’s new album.
This, as the band will finally return after five years with a new album this year. Chito also revealed the album’s release date as well.
Chito made the announcement on his Instagram account as he shared a photo of himself with his bicycle on the road. According to him, he really liked their new songs and was also very happy with what he and his bandmates wrote as well.
“Sobrang excited ko sa bagong album ng Parokya. Sobrang trip ko yung mga bago naming kanta. Sobrang masaya din ako sa mga nasulat ko, at sobrang saya ko din sa mga nasulat ng mga kabanda ko,” Chito said.

Chito also shared that they stayed lax for years and so they didn’t make a lot of progress for their album.
He added that their album stayed on the sidelines and they didn’t have definite plans on whether or not it will be completed or released at all. According to him, even though he still write with other artists and for TV commercials, he didn’t care if their album would be finished or not.
Chito also shared that they suddenly had the energy to finish their album and he’s happy to announce that they will release their new album by November this year
Last year, Chito revealed that Universal Records asked him at that time if they could put “Smile” out on Spotify and if they could include the said track on the band’s new album.
Initially, Chito Miranda’s “Smile” was a song that was dedicated to his wife on her birthday at that time. He then released the lyric video of “Smile” on his YouTube channel and the said track was already available on Spotify.
Parokya ni Edgar made its debut last 1996 and their last album, “Pogi Years Old,” was released last 2016.
