In an interview, Robredo said that she’s leaving her decision with regards to the upcoming polls up to God.

According to her, she’s ready to run “kung sa assessment ay makakatulong iyon sa misyon natin.” She’s also ready not to run “kung sa tingin ko lalong makakaharang iyon.”

While Robredo is open to vie for the presidency, she’s yet to announce her final plans for the 2022 elections.

Before she was elected as vice president, Robredo served as the representative of the third district of Camarines Sur. She’s the wife of late Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) secretary Jesse Robredo.

Meanwhile, among those who recently announced their presidential bid are Senators Manny Pacquiao, Ping Lacson, and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

On the other hand, those who have shown interest in running for the 2022 elections in the vice-presidential slate are Senator Tito Sotto and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

While those who seek a position in the Senate are Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, Former Vice President Jejomar Binay, Leyte Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez and Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero.

The filing of certificates of candidacies will be from October 1 up to October 8, 2021, while the campaign period for nationally-elected positions will kick off on February 8, 2022, until May 7, 2022.

The 2022 election is scheduled to be held on May 9.
