It was in the year 1986 when People Power took place which led to the installation of President Cory Aquino. It also marked the end of the dictatorship of former president Ferdinand Marcos who had been in office for 20 years.

His post earned mixed reactions from the netizens. While some are defending him, others directly criticized him.

On Twitter, netizens compared Ate Gay to Tuesday Vargas- who expressed her thoughts on the issue during her guest appearance on It’s Showtime.

In the “Madlang Pi-Poll” game segment of the Kapamilya noontime show, Tuesday answered the question of whether she agreed to subject Metro Manila to GCQ again.

She said: “Siguro magyi-yes ako kung may mas konkretong plano, yung hindi ura-uradang pabalik-balik na parang, ECQ, MECQ, GCQ, parang paganun-ganun minsan,” the singer-comedienne said.

It’s Showtime hosts applauded Tuesday for her views about the issue.

Many netizens agreed with the statement of Tuesday while some continue to criticize Ate Gay who said that the former is “greater than” the latter.

Meanwhile, Tuesday made a series of tweets on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, to clarify her answer on It’s Showtime.

According to her, as a public figure, she wants to use her platform appropriately. She also stressed that her views have nothing to do with political affiliation.
