Sara Duterte and Bongbong Marcos meeting in Davao
Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., met with Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio according to Sen. Imee Marcos.
However, the two did not discuss their plans for the 2022 elections.
“BBM (Bongbong Marcos) and I went to greet her an early happy birthday yesterday,” Imee said.
Sara is celebrating her birthday today, May 31, 2021.
“Atty. Mans (Manases Carpio), her hubby, treated us to lunch,” she added.
Early this year, the lawyer of BBM said that the former senator will “definitely” vie for a position in the upcoming poll.
“He will definitely be running for 2022,” lawyer Vic Rodriguez said.
But according to Imee Marcos via a statement last year, her brother is on a “wait and see” mode because there would be a “stampede” of candidates in the 2022 polls.
“Yung posisyon, di ko alam kasi di pa kami nag-uusap… [Pero] Alam ko tatakbo siya kasi unemployed siya. Luto na lang nang luto, blog nang blog,” she said.
Meanwhile, Bongbong Marcos, the son of former dictator Ferdinand Marcos, lost to incumbent Vice President Leni Robredo in the 2016 elections.
