Lorin Gutierrez recently shared that her mother, actress Ruffa Gutierrez, gave restrictions to her as she entered the showbiz industry.
In a report on PUSH, Ruffa had given restrictions to her daughter now that she had also entered the showbiz industry. One of Ruffa’s restrictions to her daughter was that she’s not allowed to have a boyfriend first.
According to Lorin, her mother tried to instill in her that she should focus on herself rather than focusing on other people first. She shared that she understood why her mother had such restrictions.
Lorin, who recently signed an exclusive management contract with Viva Artists Agency, also shared that she knew that her family members have a lot of confidence in her decision to enter the world of show business.
“They trust me naman. They trust my judgement. They let me do what I want. Of course, they give me advice when I ask for it but I think my mom wants me to make my own naman for myself and let me follow my own path and my passion. So, she lets me have control of that naman po,” Lorin said in an interview on PUSH.

When asked what Ruffa’s best advice was on her entry into showbiz, Lorin said that her mother told her to be “super respectful” and be kind to everyone she worked with.
“I think that’s something young artists or anyone who wants to join showbiz should remember and understand — it’s to make bati to everyone and to be respectful of everyone on the set,” Lorin explained.
