Recently, a certain Darren Peñaredondo died due to extreme fatigue after he was allegedly forced to do 300 pumping exercises for violating the curfew.

DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said in an interview that they already coordinated with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the local government of General Trias to probe the incident which resulted to the death of said curfew violator.

“Nagbigay na po tayo ng direktiba na imbestigahan agad-agad kung meron bang mga paglabag sa protocol o kaya naman nagkaroon ng irregularidad ‘yung ating mga kapulisan,” he said.

Reichelyn Balce, his live-in partner, said that it was on April 1 when he was arrested by village watchmen for alleged violation of the imposed curfew.

Darren was supposed to buy mineral watter but he was apprehended and later on brought to the General Trias Police Station.

Those who were arrested for violating the curfew including Darren were allegedly forced to do 100 rounds of pumping exercise but because they were not in sync, they were told to repeat.
