Johnny Manahan to Piolo and Maja: “Hiyang-hiya ako sa dalawa.”
Johnny Manahan or better known in the entertainment industry as Mr. M apologized to Piolo Pascual and Maja Salvador over the cancellation of Sunday Noontime Live or SNL.
On Sunday, January 17, the Kapatid noontime show aired its last show.
Sunday Noontime Live! was a musical variety show broadcast on TV5 which premiered on October 18, 2020.
It was co-presented by a lineup of ABS-CBN, Star Magic and Cornerstone Entertainment talents led by Piolo Pascual, Maja Salvador, Catriona Gray, Donny Pangilinan, and Jake Ejercito.
At the request of SNL director Mr. M., Piolo and Maja crossed over from ABS-CBN to TV5 to be the hosts of the noontime show.
But after only three months, the show ended.
“Actually, they assured us dalawang seasons. One season is three months kaya hanggang March,” Johnny Manahan said.
Amid transferring to TV5, Maja and Piolo swirled with criticisms.
Their loyalty to ABS-CBN has been an issue especially since they accepted the project on TV5 after the closure of the Kapamilya Network.
Mr. M said, “Kaya hiyang-hiya ako sa dalawa, e. I talked to them and I said, ‘I’m so sorry for dragging you into this. Even if they assured us at least six months, nine months pa nga dapat, e.”
Meanwhile, aside from SNL, Sunday Kada, a gag show starring some Kapamilya artists, has also been canceled.
