The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 1,524 newly-reported coronavirus cases in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. of October 27, 2020.
This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of today.
According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #227 dated October 27, 2020, the Department of Health reported 1,524 newly-reported COVID-19 cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 373,144.
Also, the Department of Health reported 37,489 total active cases wherein 82.8% were mild cases, 11.0% were asymptomatic cases, 4.0% were critical cases, and 2.2% were severe cases.

Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of October 27 only: Negros Occidental with 115 new cases, Cavite with 76 new cases, Benguet with 72 new cases, Quezon City with 67 new cases, and Laguna with 65 new cases.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 353 newly-reported recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 328,602. Also, the Department of Health recorded 14 newly-reported fatalities, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 7,053.
