Reason Behind Red Sternberg & Onemig Bondoc’s Conflict at T.G.I.S. Set
RED STERNBERG – The actor revealed the reason behind the conflict between him and fellow T.G.I.S. actor Onemig Bondoc at the set.
One of the most popular shows of the 90s was the T.G.I.S. Over 200 episodes were taped for the said show that first aired in August 1995.
The said television drama series gathered several actors and actresses as it progressed. The first cast members include Angelu de Leon, Bobby Andrews, Red Sternberg, Michael Flores, and Onemig Bondoc.
Angelu de Leon who was the star of the show played the role of Ma. Patrice “Peachy” Real while her loveteam partner, Bobby Andrews, played the role of Joaquin “Wacks” Torres III.
Onemig Bondoc was Jose Mari “JM” Rodriguez in T.G.I.S. Actors Michael Flores and Red Sternberg played the roles of Miguel “Mickey” Ledesma and Francisco Martin “Kiko” Arboleda de Dios, respectively.

In a recent online reunion of the T.G.I.S. cast members on Pep’s Live, they reminisced a lot of memories. One of those talked about was the conflict between Red Sternberg and Onemig Bondoc at the set.
Red revealed the reason behind his conflict with Onemig then. Based on the report, he clarified that Michael Flores was not involved to it and was not the root of the issue.
Red Sternberg admitted that, back then, he really does not sit well with actors and actresses who forget their lines during the taping at 3:00 or 4:00 o’clock in the morning.
“Kasi parang, three or four in the morning, ‘tapos may mga mokong na hindi alam yung linya, talagang gano’n lang. Nagkakainitan,” the actor said.
Based on the report, Bobby Andrews seconded that Red is easily irritated by such situations most especially when his sleep was interrupted though it is still not his schedule for the taping.
Red also admitted that there was a time when he spoke negative words to Angelu but the actress could not remember it. The show’s director, Mark Reyes, admitted that he’s involved to Red and Onemig’s issue.
