How Much Was Angelu de Leon’s Talent Fee Per T.G.I.S Taping?
ANGELU DE LEON – Filmmaker Dominic Zapata revealed the talent fee of the actress per taping of the T.G.I.S.
One if the most prominent and hit shows of the 90s was the T.G.I.S. It had several cast members including Angelu who played as Ma. Patrice “Peachy” Real.
The iconic loveteam of Angelu, Bobby Andrews, was also a part of the said hit project. He played the character of Joaquin “Wacks” Torres III.
Other members of cast include Michael Flores who played as Mickey Ledesma, Raven Villanueva as Cris De Guzman, and Red Sternberg as Kiko Arboleda De Dios.
Based on a report on Pep, the four actors who joined Angelu in the said project all went through the go-sees and the audition. They were neophytes in the industry then.
Angelu de Leon was already a popular actress before the making of the T.G.I.S. Did she had the highest talent fee per taping for the project?
According to the report, Director Dominic Zapata confirmed that Angelu had a higher talent fee compared to the other cast members. Writer Kit Villanueva said that the actress was the star of the program.
“Si Angelu yung star namin talaga… Ayon nga, we had to cull all these people (the other cast members of T.G.I.S.),” Kit expressed.
According to Dominic, the talent fee of Angelu de Leon then was at Php 3,500.00 per taping of T.G.I.S. Kit seconded that other cast members must have lower TFs since they already pay Php 3,500.00 to the actress per shoot.
It was in 1992 when Angelu began her showbiz career in ABS-CBN’s Ang TV. She was a talent of the ABS-CBN Talent Center now known as Star Magic. Two years after, she transferred to Viva Artists Agency.
