Boys Over Flowers star Kim Hyun-joong gained the praises of many after he helped save the life of a chef who collapsed at a restaurant he visited last week.
The 34-year-old actor-singer recently went to Jeju Island and when he happened to be at a restaurant, he spotted the resto’s chef- fainting.
The Boys Over Flowers star immediately rendered first aid to the unconscious chef by unbuttoning his shirt and helped him free his airway.
According to the entertainment website, Push, he then told the staff of the restaurant to call paramedics.
Before the emergency response arrived at the restaurant, he went on to massage the chef’s stomach and chest until the latter was able to regain consciousness.
The incident was captured via CCTV footage. The owner of the restaurant lauded the actor for his noble act and thanked him for saving the chef.

Kim Hyun-joong rose to fame when he starred in the top-rating drama series, Boys Over Flowers, alongside Lee Min Ho and Ku Hye Sun.
In the series, he portrays the role of Yoon Ji-hu.
Aside from Boys Over Flowers, he also starred in the series, Playful Kiss.
Kim Hyun-joong is a member of the South Korean boy band called SS501 but it has been inactive since 2010.
