Vice Ganda vs PhilHealth
Comedian-host Vice Ganda slammed those who are involved in the alleged corruption within the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
In the Saturday episode of Tawag ng Tanghalan on It’s Showtime premieres on Kapamilya Channel, Vice Ganda couldn’t contain his frustration against the employees of the state-run insurance company involved in corruption.
“Grabe po ang kasamaan ninyo,” he said.

Meanwhile, the issue about PhilHealth corruption first erupted after resigned PhilHealth anti-fraud legal officer Thorrsson Montes Keith revealed in a Senate hearing that a whopping P15 billion worth of funds have been pocketed by the so-called ‘mafia‘ in a “syndicate-like” transactions.
President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the Department of Justice (DOJ) to form a Task Force that will investigate the anomalies in the agency.
Recently, Ombudsman issued a 6-months preventive suspension order against former and incumbent officials of PhilHealth.
