Poor Man Orders Rice & Water Only at Fast-Food Chain For Having No Enough Money

The heartbreaking photos of a poor man at a fast-food chain who ordered rice and water only for having no enough money go viral online.

A Facebook user named Earl Archievan Calixtro has shared the heartbreaking photos of a poor man eating rice and water only. The photos garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the photos, it can be seen that the poor man has no other meal except for rice. The man has no enough money to buy a decent meal so he decided to buy rice only. He also asked for a glass of water from the employees.

Calixtro has decided to buy a meal for the poor man but one employee of McDonalds gives a free chicken fillet to the latter. However, he still gave the food for the less-fortunate man so he could have something to eat after a few hours.

The kind netizen narrated that the unfortunate guy comes from Tacloban but decided to go to Pampanga to look for a job but failed to find one due to the lockdown.

“Kanina napadpad ako sa Pampanga. Nag lunch ako sa McDonald’s near SM. Si Tatay pumasok then umorder. After nun naupo sya malapit sa table ko. Pagdating nung order nya. 1 cup of rice and water lng. Kinakain nya rice lang. Nilapitan ko si Tatay tinanong ko kung gusto pa nya ng makakain. Oo daw kasi nagugutom sya pero kulang pera nya. So inorder ko sya ng makakain. Pagbalik ko sa table nya may chicken fillet na. Binigay nung crew. (thank you sa buong staff at crew ng McDonald’s san fernando malapit sa SM,di kayo nag dalawang isip tulungan si Tatay ❤️) yung order ko para sa knya pina take out ko nalang para may pagkain pa sya mamaya. Kinausap ko sya sandali pero hindi ko sya maintindihan masyado kasi sobrang nanginginig sya. Siguro sa sobrang gutom. Plus hirap na din sya magsalita. Ang nakuha ko lang na information is taga TACLOBAN daw sya. Napunta lang sya sa Pampanga para humanap ng work. Sa kasamaang palad inabutan siguro ng lockdown. Sa mga may kakilala sa Tacloban baka po nakikilala nyo si Tatay. At sa iba pang gustong tumulong. Sana makauwi na sya sa knila 🙏🙏🙏
