Shi Zhong Xing and Shi Li Li, owners of Elegant Fumes Beauty Products, Inc., were also accused of several violations aside from selling a product called “Ashley Shine Keratin Treatment Deep Repair,” accompanied by a misleading label.

Based on the report of Manila Bulletin, Isko Moreno tagged labeling Manila as Province of China in its product, “unacceptable.”

May sariling soberentiya,” he said.

Meanwhile, Isko Moreno has requested the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to conduct an investigation regarding the matter.

According to him, the packaging of the haircare brand is “an affront to the sovereignty of the Philippines and an insult to its duly constituted authorities.”

The firm was immediately closed as per order by the Manila City Mayor.
