Netizens were mixed reactions on the revelation of Waldy Carbonell about the franchise renewal of the country’s largest network, ABS-CBN.
Earlier, a video of Waldy Carbonell, a former anchor of ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) and Iraq war correspondent surfaced wherein he claimed that he was offered by a Chinese company to work as an editor-in-chief in a TV station.
According to him, the TV station/network will apparently replace the Kapamilya Network.
Waldy Carbonell’s revelation is currently making rounds online garnering comments from the netizens.
“Kaya ipinasa na anti terror bill alam nila magpoprotesta na mga tao kaya dali dali na ipinatupad,” Joan Membreve Marmeto commented.
“Salamat sa mga namumunong akala namin magaangat sa amin😊😊😊 un pala dadalahin lang ang buong bansa sa pagkawasak😊 sige hayaan nyo na ung mga banyaga lalo na mga intsik mamuno sa lahat tutal naman pera pera nalang kayo😏 di nyo madadala yan sa hukay tandaan nyo yan,” Ian Red De Castro wrote.
“Hindi ko tlga nagugustohan ang nangyayari sa bansa natin mukhang palala ng palala. Bilang isang Pilipino mangging matatag po tyo kung ano pong mangyari sa ating bansa at lalaban tyo Mahal kong mga kapwa Pilipino,” Mariell Nolasco noted.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN is wooing to have a new franchise after its license to operate expired last May 4, prompting the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to place it under a shutdown.
