The foreigner had his flight last July 5 and expected to arrive in the country on July 7 despite the ban of foreign tourists to enter Philippines amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Last July 7, an unidentified person claiming as an airport officer contacted Anna and told her that her foreigner friend has been hold at NAIA. The alleged airport crew also asked a huge amount of cash amounting P38,000 penalty fee and an additional fee of P6,381 for a plane ticket bound to Cebu.

However, Anna has no enough cash to pay the penalty fee and the scammer asked her to pay P15,000 for the penalty, P6,000 for a plane ticket, and additional fees for other expenses.
