Alex Calleja regrets voting Duterte
Writer-comedian Alex Calleja took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein he apparently shared his regrets for voting President Rodrigo Duterte in the 2016 elections.
According to him, he considered Duterte as his “huling alas” to save the nation but he’s disappointed as to what is happening in the country today.
However, he’s hopeful that the president will fulfill his promises in his remaining two years as the chief executive.

“kinampanya at binoto ko po si president duterte ng nakaraang 2016 election. marami akong nakaaway dahil sa kanya. bilib ako sa kanya dahil siya ang tinuturing kong huling alas para isalba ang bansa natin. at sa kasawiang palad, bilang suporter niya, disappointed ako sa nangyayari ngayon. pero may dalawang taon pa para makabawi siya. pero sa ngayon, hayaan niyo akong magpahayag ng damdamin ko na marami sa mga naipangako niya ay hindi pa natutupad.
sana makakuha ako ng mga comments na matino at bukas sa malayang diskurso.”
Alex Calleja rose to fame as the writer of defunct kiddie gag show, Goin’ Bulilit, and ABS-CBN noontime program, It’s Showtime.
He also made a name for himself in the field of comedy and has been lauded with his skills.
