Author Mary Higgins Clark Dead At 92

Author Mary Higgins Clark, the bestselling author who was known for dozens of novels sold worldwide, has died. She was 92 years old.

This, as her publisher, Simon & Schuster, confirmed her death on Friday night (Saturday morning in the Philippines).

Her writing career spanned decades and she already had published bestselling suspense titles — including “Loves Music, Loves to Dance” and “A Stranger Is Watching.” She was also known as the “Queen of Suspense.”

Some of her books, including the mystery movie “The Cradle Will Fall“, have been turned into television films.

Previously, author Mary Higgins Clark told CNN that she started writing radio scripts for a living — and it taught her “a great deal about writing.” She added that she was always glad that she had kids.
