Here’s the reaction of nuns who sheltered Cory Aquino during Edsa over Maid in Malacañang teaser
CORY AQUINO – The nuns who sheltered the former president during Edsa People Power Revolution were not amused with the teaser of Maid in Malacañang.
The drama-comedy film Maid in Malacañang is about the last 72 hours of the Marcos family in the Palace.
It stars Cesar Montano as former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., Diego Loyzaga as President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Cristine Reyes as Senator Imee Marcos, and Ruffa Gutierrez as Imelda Romualdez Marcos and Ella Cruz as Irene Marcos.
While those who will portray as house helpers of the Marcos family are Elizabeth Oropesa as Yaya Lucy, Beverly Salviejo as Yaya Biday, and Karla Estrada as Yaya Santa.
In the latest teaser of the movie directed by Darryl Yap, the character of ex-President Corazon “Cory” Aquino has been revealed.
Played by actress Giselle Sanchez, Cory can be seen playing “mahjong” in the trailer along with nuns.

However, members of the Order of the Carmelites based in Mabolo, Cebu City were not amused by the representation of nuns.
“God forgive them. That’s totally fake news,” an official of the order told Sunstar.
“Wala mi nalipay sa ilang giistorya,” she added.
The said official was one of the nuns who accommodated the late president after attending a series of rallies in Cebu City.
According to the official, Aquino came to their monastery at 9 p.m. on February 22, 1986, or the day the first Edsa People Power Revolution took place.
But Aquino left the monastery around 11 a.m. as she flies to Manila the next day.
