Vivian revealed through a statement posted on the organization’s official Facebook page that she’s no longer being part of the Film Academy of the Philippines, saying that she tendered her “irrevocable resignation” last May.

The actress then thanked the Board of Directors of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) for providing her the opportunity to serve as FAP Director General.

It was a very challenging stint, to say the least, and the pandemic did not make it any easier, either,” Vivian said.

According to her, FAP treasurer Manny Morfe will be the acting officer-in-charge of the organization while the board of the Cultural Center of the Philippines deliberates on the appointment of a new director general.

Meanwhile, actor Tirso Cruz III has been appointed as Chairman and CEO of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
