Here’s the message of Pokwang to Ella Cruz over her controversial “history is like tsismis” remark

POKWANG: The comedienne reacted to the controversial “history is like tsismis” remark of actress Ella Cruz.

Marietta Subong O’Brian also known as Pokwang, is a Filipina comedian, actress, television host, and singer.

She started in a reality show on ABS-CBN and subsequently appeared in dramas and sitcoms on the network.

She also received the Best Comedy Actress award from the Philippine Movie Press Club for her portrayal in the sitcom Aalog-Alog and the Best Female Comedian award from the People’s Choice Awards.

She became a host of the variety shows Wowowee, Pilipinas Win na Win and Happy Yipee Yehey.

On the other hand, Ella whose real name is Gabriela Annjane Umali Cruz rose to fame with her title character in the 2012 fantasy drama Aryana.

It was in 2006 when she started her showbiz career after starring in the GMA-7 series, Majika. She also had several television projects on ABS-CBN and TV5.

Pokwang and Ella once worked together in Aryana.

Meanwhile, Ella is currently making rounds online following her controversial remark.

“History is like tsismis. It is filtered and dagdag na rin, so, hindi natin alam what is the real history. Andoon na iyong idea, pero may mga bias talaga,” she said in an interview.

Among those who reacted to her remark is no less than comedienne Pokwang.

Apparently, there were netizens who did not like the message of the comedienne to the actress. In fact, there were some who told her to respect Ella’s opinion.

Ella Cruz has yet to issue any statement over criticisms she earned due to her remark.
