Here’s the message of Jay Sonza to Archbishop Socrates Villegas
JAY SONZA – The former broadcast journalist took to social media wherein he criticized Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas following his tirade against “online trolls.”
Sonza is one of the biggest journalists in the country during the 1980s until early 2000.
He once worked with Kapuso broadcast journalist, Mel Tiangco and before he retired, he was the station manager of UNTV.
On the other hand, Villegas is a prelate and a professed member of the Dominican Order.
He is the current Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan in Pangasinan and is the former president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) from 2013- to 2017.
Earlier, Villegas gave a message to online trolls.
According to him, the online trolls are lying in order to make a living. He even called them “evil.”
“Kung ikaw ay nagsisinungaling at ginawa mong hanap-buhay at ang purpose mo ay hindi lamang kumita kundi para lalong magaling ang tao, lalong mapoot ang tao, lalong magkawatak-watak ang tao, lalong ma-mislead ang tao, wala akong ibang salita sayo kundi ‘evil’,” Villegas said.
His statement earned a reaction and among those who commented is former broadcast journalist Jay Sonza.

Villegas, on the other hand, has yet to respond to the statement of Sonza.
This is not the first that Villegas was criticized by a prominent personality.
In 2017, he was lambasted by now presumptive vice president Sara Duterte due to his tirade agains the present administration.
