Some Kakampinks called Iglesia ni Cristo ‘kulto’ after endorsing the tandem of BBM-Sara Duterte
IGLESIA NI CRISTO – An independent Nontrinitarian Christian church was labeled by some Kakampinks as “kulto” after the religious group endorsed the BBM-Sara tandem.
Bongbong Marcos or BBM runs for president in the coming elections together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio. They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
Earlier, INC endorsed the tandem of BBM and Sara Duterte.
Apparently, the religious group was criticized after endorsing the UniTeam.
In fact, “Iglesia” and “KakampINC” trended on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.
Some KakampINC called the religious group “kulto”.
Here are the comments of some netizens:
A supporter of Robredo, on the other hand, expressed his displeasure to his fellow Kakampink because of what they were saying against INC.
“My family and I belong to the INC but are also #KakampINC. My wife, 2 children and their spouses are voting Leni-Kiko and Tropang Angat. Request sa mga Kakampinks, pls do not label INC as kulto. We are better than this!” said @notscorsaguin.
Meanwhile, there are up to three million INC members in the Philippines and the endorsement received by the BBM-Sara tandem is a big addition to their chances of winning this coming election.
Iglesia ni Cristo has yet to issue a statement with regards to the criticism they are receiving after the endorsement of the BBM-Sara tandem.
