Kris Aquino Endorses Vice Pres. Leni Robredo during Grand Rally in Tarlac
KRIS AQUINO – The actress-TV host revealed that former President Noynoy Aquino wrote a letter for Vice Pres. Leni Robredo before he died.
It is more than a month now since the election campaign period for the May 2022 polls officially started. Currently, the presidential, vice-presidential, and senatorial bets are on tight schedules in the pursuit to be able to campaign in as many areas as they can before the campaign period is over.
The team Leni-Kiko has visited several provinces already. They turned Iloilo, Cavite, Bacolod, and Pasig in pink during their visit. Thousands of people attended their grand rallies facilitated by the volunteers of the tandem.
Recently, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan visited Tarlac, the bailiwick of the late former Pres. Noynoy Aquino who is one of those who greatly campaigned for Robredo during the 2016 vice-presidential election.
Unexpectedly, actress Kris Aquino made a surprise appearance at the grand rally of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan in Tarlac. She was with her sons, Joshua and Bimby.
It is no secret to the public that Kris is not in good health condition now due to her autoimmune disease. She is currently under medication but none was able to stop her from joining the campaign rally and endorsing Vice Pres. Robredo.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, while speaking on stage, Kris Aquino revealed that former Pres. Noynoy Aquino penned a letter for Vice Pres. Leni Robredo before he died but it was not sent. According to the actress-TV host, in a part of the letter, her brother has expressed how he sees the Vice President as someone who has the sincerity and the capacity to put others first before herself.
“Sabi ko sa sarili ko, you have to fight for her, kasi sa kanya bilib si Noy,” the actress said.
During the grand rally, Kris Aquino expressed that just like her late brother, she is sure that Vice Pres. Leni Robredo will not steal from the government. She stressed how simple the Vice President is even when she was still a vice-presidential candidate in 2016.
The actress also expressed that Vice Pres. Robredo has respect for the law and will fight for democracy in the country.
“Nakikiusap po ako. Huwag tayong pumayag na mawala itong muli [demokrasya]. Ipaglaban po natin ang ating karapatan na never nang bumalik ang diktadurya,” the actress expressed.
