Vice Pres. Leni Robredo Campaigns in Nueva Ecija
LENI ROBREDO – The crowd during the grand rally of the Vice President in Nueva Ecija assured her of their support saying, “Babawi kami!”.
One of the 10 presidential candidates and the only female candidate for president in the upcoming May 2022 Elections is Vice Pres. Leni Robredo. She is running as an independent candidate in the upcoming poll.
Vice Pres. Robredo’s running-mate in the upcoming election is Senator Kiko Pangilinan, the vice-presidential bet of the Liberal Party. The Leni-Kiko tandem is now on a double-time to reach as many Filipinos as they can before the campaign period is over.
Recently, Vice Pres. Robredo and Sen. Pangilinan visited the province of Nueva Ecija. Their grand rally held in Cabanatuan City gathered an estimate of 50,000 people.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, during the grand rally, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo admitted her initial hesitations about the campaign in Nueva Ecija. She even wanted a smaller venue prior to the event as she was scared that the 2016 happenings may take place again.
During the 2016 vice-presidential race, Robredo got 216,204 votes in Nueva Ecija while her closest rival, former Sen. Bongbong Marcos who is also running for president in the upcoming election, got 541,980 votes.
Based on the report, during the grand rally in Nueva Ecija, the crowd assured Vice Pres. Leni Robredo of their support in the upcoming May 2022 Presidential election. They were shouting, “Babawi kami, babawi kami!”.
Vice Pres. Robredo said that they could not charge her as even though she lost in Nueva Ecija during the vice-presidential race, her office had a lot of projects there and she kept on coming back in the province. One of her projects include the livelihood project for the Badjao community in the province where they set up water pumps.
