Here’s why Sara Duterte was absent in Abra campaign

SARA DUTERTE – The vice presidential aspirant was absent during the campaign in Abra due to bad weather in Davao City.

The presidential daughter will run for vice president in the coming elections alongside her running mate, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Jr.

They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

The BBM-Sara UniTeam held a campaign in Bangued, Abra, on Wednesday. However, Duterte was not able to attend the said rally.

But according to BBM, Sara was not able to attend because of the inclement weather in Davao.

“Hihingi lang po ako ng paumanhin na hindi po nakarating ang ating susunod na bise-presidente dahil ‘yung kaniyang… hindi siya pinalipad at umuulan doon sa Davao kaya’t hindi siya nakaalis. Ngunit, patuloy pa rin ang kanyang padala ng pagmamahal sa inyo, ng kanyang mensahe na mahalin ang bansang Pilipinas,” he said.

Apparently, Sara Duterte has not yet issued any statement as to why she was not able to attend the said event.

PAGASA had forecasted that Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the low-pressure area.

Earlier, Marcos together with senatorial aspirants Sherwin Gatchalian, Harry Roque, Mark Villar, and Rodante Marcoleta. held a motorcade before proceeding to Kalinga province.
