Is Pacquiao chiding BBM in his latest remark?
MANNY PACQUIAO – The presidential candidate and senator did not mince words for those saying he’s feebleminded.
Pacquiao is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election.
Together with his runningmate Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza, they will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
It was on February 8 when the campaign period for the national positions kicked off. The candidates have been across the country busy campaigning.
During a campaign sortie, Pacquiao, a boxer-turned-senator who is now running for president, reacted to remarks that he’s too feebleminded to become president of the Republic of the Philippines.
According to him, it is not true that he is “mahina ang utak.” He cited that the dimwitted ones are the voters who will still try to vote for politicians with a history of stealing.
The senator did not name who he was targeting but some netizens claimed that he might be addressing it to Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., the son of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos. Currently, BBM is leading in presidential surveys.
A portion of his statement which was posted on the micro-blogging site, Twitter garnered thousands of views and mixed reactions from the netizens.
Meanwhile, the Marcos family has been criticized for allegedly being corrupt during their reign.
