Introducing… the pusisig of Cavite
PUSISIG – A “tapsihan” in Cavite is one of the most popular eateries in the city and is earning as much as 200,000 per week.
Lorelie Anggat from Alfonso, Cavite, is one of those who thought about how to have an extra income amid the pandemic.
In an interview with GMA-7’s Pera Paraan, she shared how their business started.
Although online selling is the trend, Lorelie prefers to have a physical store.
She then told her husband about her plan to get a food franchise.
It was in September 2020 when the couple decided to get a tapsihan franchise worth 75,000 pesos.
When their operation started, one of their best sellers is “pusisig” or pusit sisig.
Basically, pusisig is a squid with pork sisig on the inside. Once the squid is already filled with pork sisig, it’s being roasted and sliced before being served to the customers.
Lorelie admitted that she was hesitant with the business venture because it might not become successful.
Like other tapsihan, they also offer traditional roasted cuisines with fried rice. However, it was the pusisig that made them famous.
Currently, they are earning as much as 200,000 pesos a week out of selling pusisig.
Lorelie’s advice to those who want to do business especially in the food business, they should have a good connection with customers.
“Hindi puwedeng dadating lang sila, oorder, ganun. Dapat medyo may kuwento ka rin sa kanila, nawe-welcome mo sila nang maayos,” she said.
