Despite loss at MUP 2021, Kisses Delavin still earned the respect of Pia and Rabiya
KISSES DELAVIN – The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 candidate earned the respect of beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Rabiya Mateo.
The former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate only clinched the Top 10 of the star-studded pageant.
Despite she was not able to bring home the crown, Kisses Delavin earned praises from Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo.
Pia took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein she expressed her amazement to Kisses.
“Kisses blossomed into a woman right before our eyes. She nailed that styling! #MUPH2021Coronation,” she noted.
Although it was her first time to join a national pageant, Kisses Delavin definitely nailed it. Because she represented herself with confidence, she was able to make it to the Top 10.
She also topped the Headshot and Video Introduction Challenges during the first part of the competition.
On the coronation night, she took home three (3) special awards such as Miss Luxxe White Face of the Universe, Miss RFOX Philippines, and Miss Universe Philippines Lazada.
Rabiya Mateo, the outgoing MUP winner also gave some words of encouragement to Kisses.
Meanwhile, Cebu-based beauty queen Beatrice Luigi Gomez has been crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021.
She will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2021 pageant in Eilat, Israel in December 2021.
During the coronation night held on September 30 at Henann Resort Convention Center in Panglao, Bohol, she also earned minor awards such as Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Miss Creamsilk and Miss Luxxe Immunplus.
She bested other candidates during the finals of MUP 2021.
Next to Beatrice is Katrina Dimaranan from Taguig who was named Miss Universe Tourism and Victoria Vincent Velasquez from Cavite as Miss Universe Charity.
On the other hand, Model Maureen Wroblewitz from Pangasinan won the 1st runner-up spot followed by Steffi Rose Aberasturi from Cebu Province as the 2nd runner-up.
