A man in Nueva Ecija has been arrested after allegedly bringing a samurai, a gun, and a knife inside a church in Zaragoza town.
The suspect, a 29-year-old man, allegedly entered the San Vicente Parish Church bringing the deadly weapons and a firearm.
The man who was first seen carrying a bolo knife caused fear among the churchgoers.
When police arrived, they found that the suspect also had two .38 caliber guns, ammunition, two bolo, samurai, and three plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office continues to investigate the incident.
The suspect is currently detained at the Zaragoza Municipal Police Station detention cell and will face charges such as violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
However, it is not mentioned in the report courtesy of GMA Network if the suspect will also face Illegal Possession of Firearms and Deadly Weapon cases.
But the suspect will most likely face such charges once the investigation has been conducted.
