Yap to Belgica: “Bilang PACC, you should be responsible.”
ACT-CIS party-list Representative Eric Yap hit Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) Commissioner Greco Belgica as he questioned the corruption allegations against him.
Yap has been named by President Rodrigo Duterte as one of the legislators involved in alleged corruption.
Yap in particular was accused of corruption over infrastructure projects in Benguet but he denied taking part in the bidding for the infrastructure projects in the province, where he serves as legislative caretaker.
Meanwhile, Yap hit Belgica over the allegations against him.
“Bilang PACC, you should be responsible. ‘Yung ganyan kasi na papangalanan mo lang, para sa akin hindi investigation ‘yan. Ang ginagawa ko ninyo ay nagwi-witch hunt kayo,” he said.
Aside from Yap, among those who were allegedly involved in corruption are the following; Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Sato, former Ifugao Rep. Teodoro Baguilat, Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas, Misamis Occidental Rep. Henry Oaminal, Northern Samar Rep. Paul Daza, Quezon Rep. Angelina Helen Tan, ACT-CIS Rep. Eric Yap, Bataan Rep. Geraldine Roman and Isabela Rep. Alyssa Sheena Tan.
But before he read the names of the legislators allegedly involved in corruption, the President clarified that being on the list does not mean that there is solid evidence against them.
