Here are some of the alleged details about Miss Universe 2020
Miss Universe 2020 will allegedly take place on February 14, 2021, in Miami, Florida USA.
Earlier, some news comes out including the schedule and venue of the 69th edition of the prestigious pageant where Philippine’s Rabiya Mateo will compete.
According to the rumor, in early 2021, candidates from various countries will start preparing, including their compliance with health standards and protocols as a precaution against COVID-19.
“Miss Universe 2020 will take place in Miami Florida, USA on February 14, 2021. According to sources, National Directors already received a message from MUO that they should pick/choose their Representative until December if they wish to join for the 2020 edition of Miss Universe. Candidates should undergo on a Swab Test before have their flight to Florida,” pageant page Sash Philippines noted.
Here’s the reported tentative schedule:
- January 28 – February 1: Swab Test
- February 2 – 3: Arrival of Candidates and Registration
- February 10: Closed Door Interview
- February 11: Preliminary Competition
- February 14: Coronation Night & After Party
- February 15 – 16: Departure of Candidates
“More than 60 to 70+ Candidates are expected to compete,” it added.
The rumor about the pageant venue became even hotter following the social media post of gemologist and businessman Fred Mouawad with Miss Universe Thailand Amanda Obdam.
In his now deleted post, she congratulated the Thai beauty queen on the good outcome of their shoot for the Mouawad jewelry line.
Mouawad is the official crown maker of the Miss Universe Organization which started in 2019.
Miami, Florida was once home to Miss Universe. In fact, it is where Gloria Diaz won the first Miss Universe crown for the Philippines in 1969.
Meanwhile, the Miss Universe organization has not confirmed nor issued an official statement about the rumor.
