Congratulations Yuki Sonoda!
Yuki Sonoda, a half-Pinay and half-Japanese beauty queen won second runner-up in the Miss Universe Japan 2020.
After placing as the second runner-up in the said pageant, she immediately went to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein she thanked those who supported her.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to say my sincerest gratitude to everyone that supported my journey throughout Miss Universe Japan. Words cannot express how thankful I am with all your support, help, trust, patience and love. Without you guys I would not achieve this placement,” she said.
She also gave a message to Aisha Harumi Tochigi, who won the Miss Universe Japan 2020 title and is set to compete with Philippine’s Rabiya Mateo in the highly anticipated pageant.

“You deserve the crown, and to bring honor once again to Japan in the Miss Universe stage. You are one of my best friends in this pageant and I know you will shine,” she said.
Based on her introductory video for the recent pageant, she shared that her father is Japanese while her mom is a Filipina.
Yuki Sonoda is an advocate of women’s health, citing how the ovarian cyst surgery which she went through last year taught her the importance of one’s health.
