Updates on COVID-19 Worldwide
More than 57 million cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been recorded worldwide with over 1.3 million fatalities.
COVID-19 pandemic continues to devastate the entire world.
With the rapid increase of coronavirus disease 2019 cases, leaders of different nations are doing their all in order to combat the spread of the deadly virus which started in Wuhan, China in 2019.
Among the safety protocols that everyone must observe are the following; social/physical distancing, wearing masks especially in public places, and using disinfectant from time to time if possible.
COVID-19 is characterized by flu-like symptoms such as fever, difficulty in breathing, cough, and other respiratory problems but a patient may also be positive for the disease even without showing any signs.
Meanwhile, according to GMA News Online via a tally of Reuters, the United States holds the record with the highest number of cases with 11,737,129 and 252,493 deaths.
Followed by India with 9,004,365 cases and 132,162 deaths; Brazil with 5,981,767 cases and 168,061; France with 2,086,288 cases and 47,127 deaths and Russia with 2,039,926 cases and 35,311 deaths.

In the Philippines, the Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 1,639 additional cases, 305 new recoveries, and 27 new deaths as of Friday, November 20, 2020.
Based on the record of the country’s health department, the country has now a total of 415,067 confirmed cases with 375,237 recoveries and 8,025 deaths.
