Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Announces Class Suspensions for Friday (November 13)
#WALANGPASOK – Manila Mayor Isko Moreno announces class suspensions in all levels, in both public and private schools.
On Thursday (November 12, 2020), Typhoon Ulysses with maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 160 kph was last spotted at 140 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales.
Ulysses was expected to bring rains over CAR, Zambales, Bataan, Aurora, Cavite, the western portion of Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro. The typhoon has yet to exit the Philippine area of responsibility.
Manila City Mayor Francisco Moreno Domagoso announced the cancellation of classes for Friday (November 13, 2020) on his Twitter account. Both public and private schools are covered by the class suspensions.
The classes in all levels in the city have been suspended due to the inclement weather condition brought by Typhoon Ulysses. The powerful typhoon causes heavy rainfall, which results to flooding in Metro Manila and its nearby areas.
The Ateneo De Manila University has also suspend the online class and work from November 13 to 14, 2020 due to the effects of Typhoon Ulysses.
