Ysabella Ysmael: “I’m blessed with a family that supports me”
Miss Parañaque City Ysabella Ysmael thanked her aunt Margie Moran for supporting her on her journey in the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant.
The 23-year-old beauty queen was crowned as the first runner-up in the said event which took place last October 25.
Although she did not win the title, she received full support from her family, especially from her aunt Margie Moran.
Margie was crowned Miss Universe in 1973. She is the second Miss Universe titleholder of the Philippines, following Gloria Diaz in 1969.
The other two Pinay Miss Universe winners are Pia Wurtzbach (2015) and Catriona Gray (2018).
On Sunday, November 8, Ysabella Ysmael, her parents and Margie, came together for a family lunch held at the Manila House Private Members Club, Taguig City.
Ysabella Ysmael shared on her Instagram account some photos from their lunch, including a photo of her and her Aunt Margie.
Ysabella Ysmael stressed in the caption that she will not be able to achieve her dreams in life without the support of her relatives.
“Reaching dreams won’t be possible without a strong support system. I’m blessed with a family that supports me and believes in me. They keep me motivated and grounded,” she said.
“Had a great Sunday lunch with my family and the ever iconic Miss Universe 1973, Tita @margie_moran. Always an honor,” she added.
Margie also shared similar photos on her Instagram account.
The former Miss Universe said in the caption that she is proud to be with the first runner-up of Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
