GMA Network was set to air Miss Universe Philippines on October 25, 2020.
GMA Network officially announced that the network was set to air this year’s “Miss Universe Philippines” on Sunday, October 25, 2020.
For the first time ever, there would be no live audience and with a limited production staff in order to ensure the safety of everyone present in the said pageant.
In a report on GMA Entertainment, all pre-pageant events and grand finale were all to be filmed at the Baguio Country Club in Baguio City in adherence to the Health and Safety Protocols for the Conduct of Film and Audiovisual Production Shoots to Mitigate COVID-19 set by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), the Department of Health (DOH), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Jose Mari R. Abacan, the First Vice President for Program Management at GMA Network, expressed his enthusiasm in partnering with Miss Universe Philippines.

According to Abacan, GMA had always been open to partnerships with independent producers, as such, the network was pleased that the organization behind the Miss Universe Philippines pageant approached them about the said landmark project.
“This being the first edition of the tilt, it will always have a special place in the hearts of pageant enthusiasts”, Abacan said.
As per the report, the grand coronation of Miss Universe Philippines will start at 9:00 a.m. with a replay at 10:30 p.m. on GMA Network on October 25, 2020.
Prior to this, Miss Universe Philippines revealed the official crown for this year’s pageant.
