Man in Kalibo Steals Motorcycle Because He Didn’t Want His Girlfriend to Get Tired Walking
A man who didn’t want his girlfriend to get tired from walking ended up stealing a motorcycle in Kalibo, Aklan.
Recently, the Facebook page K5 News FM Iloilo 88.7 reported that a man took the motorcycle so his girlfriend wouldn’t have to walk far and get exhausted. The post quickly went viral online and elicited various reactions from netizens.
The young man from Kalibo, Aklan, decided to steal a motorcycle just so his girlfriend wouldn’t get tired of walking in a rather unusual act of love. The incident happened on the night of October 20, 2025, in Barangay Nalook.

According to the report, the man felt sorry for his minor girlfriend, who was exhausted from walking. Wanting to make things easier for her, he took a parked motorcycle nearby so they could have a ride home. His romantic gesture, however, turned into a serious crime.
After stealing the motorcycle, the couple, along with a 21-year-old companion, fled to New Washington, Aklan, where they were later caught by the police with the help of concerned residents. The stolen vehicle was recovered, and all three are now under police custody.
Authorities said the suspect only wanted to use the motorcycle as a service vehicle for his girlfriend, not realizing the consequences of his actions. Despite his intentions, theft remains a criminal offense, and he now faces possible charges.
The 22-year-old owner of the motorcycle has yet to decide whether to pursue legal action against the suspect.
Meanwhile, the story has raised concern online, with some calling it a “misguided act of love” while others see it as a lesson on responsibility and proper decision-making.
