Jair Bolsonaro tested positive again
Jair Bolsonaro, the incumbent President of Brazil tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19 again.
According to him, he underwent COVID-19 testing on Tuesday anew. His test result came the following day and it turned out positive.
“I’m fine, thank God. Yesterday morning, I took the test, and in the evening the result was that I am still positive for the coronavirus,” he said via Facebook live broadcast.
Although he is not experiencing symptoms of the dreaded disease, Jair Bolsonaro is taking anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine and he said that the medication is so far working.
“I am not recommending anything. I recommend that you talk to your doctor. In my case, a military doctor recommended hydroxychloroquine, and it worked,” the Brazilian president stressed.
The chief executive of Brazil who was tested positive for COVID-19 last week will continue with his duties via video conference since he will remain quarantined in Alvorada Palace after being considered in the high-risk group at the age of 65.

On Monday, he admitted through phone patch with CNN that he “can’t stand this routine of staying at home” and he’s been waiting “anxiously” for the go signal that he can finally get out of his residence.
According to Rappler.com, Brazil has a record of 1.9 million cases and 74,000 deaths, making it the second worst-hit country after the United States.
