Update on Worldwide Coronavirus Cases Including the Total Cases Now, the Death Toll & the Recoveries
WORLDWIDE CORONAVIRUS CASES – Here is an update on the total COVID-19 cases, deaths, and recoveries across the globe now.
The world is now fighting against an invisible enemy – the coronavirus or COVID-19. This disease was first recorded in China last December 2019.
Back then, the rest of the world was only hearing about the “mysterious disease” that is infecting a lot of people in Wuhan City in Hubei province. Later on, the borders of the city was locked as an outbreak occured.
COVID-19 has infected over 82,000 people in China. Wuhan was under a lockdown for more than two (2) months. More than 4,000 people died in China.
Currently, China is already visibly recovering from the COVID-19 crisis. However, several other countries across the globe also got confirmed cases of the disease.
Based on the global tally of Worldometer, 212 countries and territories across the globe got confirmed cases of coronavirus. This disease was already declared as pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) as its impact is far beyond what was expected.
According to WHO, the coronavirus fight is going to be a long-term battle for the countries. Based on the tally, the worldwide coronavirus cases now is at 4,417,903.
With regards to the COVID-19 deaths, a total of 297,382 deaths was recorded in the tally. The recoveries is currently at 1,648,397 as of May 14.
United States remains to be the country with the most number of COVID-19 cases. A total of 1,427,587 cases of the disease were recorded in U.S.
