Meanwhile, Charice Pempengco, now known as Jake Zyrus, is a Filipino singer and television personality who gained international recognition for his exceptional vocal talent. Born Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco in 1992 in the Philippines, Charice began entering singing contests at a young age and rose to fame through appearances on Filipino television and YouTube. His breakthrough came in 2007 when Ellen DeGeneres invited him to perform on her show, leading to subsequent appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and collaborations with artists like Céline Dion.
Charice’s debut studio album “Charice” (2010) entered the Billboard 200 at number eight, making him the first Asian solo singer to achieve this. He further gained prominence by joining the cast of the TV series Glee as Sunshine Corazon and releasing albums like “Infinity” (2011) and “Chapter 10” (2013).
