The Box Office King and Queen of 2024 are Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo
ALDEN RICHARDS and KATHRYN BERNARDO – The two were honored as the Box Office King and Queen of 2024 at the Box Office Entertainment awards.
Alden Richards, whose real name is Richard Reyes Faulkerson Jr., gained widespread recognition for his role as the male lead in the hit Philippine television series “Destined to Be Yours” and “The Gift.” He is also one half of the popular love team “AlDub,” paired with Maine Mendoza, which gained massive popularity through the noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga!” Alden has also ventured into music and has released albums showcasing his singing talent.
On the other hand, Kathryn Bernardo rose to fame as a child actress and has since become one of the most successful actresses of her generation. She gained prominence for her role as Mara in the television series “Mara Clara” and has starred in numerous successful films and television shows. Kathryn is also known for her long-standing love team with actor Daniel Padilla, collectively referred to as “KathNiel,” which has a massive fan following in the Philippines and beyond.
Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo were honored as the Box Office King and Queen of 2024 at the Box Office Entertainment awards. The event, held at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater at Ateneo De Manila University, saw both actors receiving individual awards.
Alden was recognized as the Box Office King for his performance in “Five Breakups and A Romance,” co-starring Julia Montes. Kathryn was crowned Box Office Queen for her role in “A Very Good Girl,” alongside Hollywood newcomer Dolly De Leon.
Their previous collaboration, “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” had been the highest-grossing Filipino movie until it was surpassed by “Rewind,” starring Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes. Alden recently addressed his partnership with Kathryn, expressing a desire for their relationship to remain private. He emphasized that their public appearances reflect their genuine connection.
