Sabrina M Remembers Rico Yan on His Death Anniversary

SABRINA M – The former actress took to the social networking site Facebook, where she remembered Rico Yan on his death anniversary.

Sabrina M., whose real name is Maricaren Pallasigue, is a former actress in the Philippine entertainment industry. She gained prominence during the 1990s, particularly for her roles in daring films. Sabrina M. started her showbiz career under the screen name Karen Salas but later transitioned to the daring genre and adopted the name Sabrina M.

Throughout her career, she appeared in numerous films, primarily in the late ’90s, including titles such as “Karanasan: The Claudia Zobel Story,” “Totoy Mola,” “Hayop Sa Ganda,” and “Bakit Kailangan Ng Ibon Ng Pakpak,” among others.

Despite her success in showbiz, she left the industry in 2002 due to various reasons, including the declining popularity of daring films and her desire to focus on motherhood. In later years, she faced legal troubles, including an arrest in 2016 for drug-related offenses.

Last year, she made headlines after claiming in a recent press conference that she had a “secret relationship” with the late matinee idol, Rico Yan. According to her, their relationship blossomed after Rico’s romance with actress Claudine Barretto. The Optimum Star, on the other hand, refuted the claims of Sabrina. In fact, a friend of the latter named Katrina Paula had broken her silence to deny that Sabrina and Rico Yan had a thing.

Recently, the former actress took to the social networking site Facebook, where she remembered Rico Yan on his death anniversary. On the said platform, she posted a photo of Rico Yan with the caption: “Remembering Rico Yan 22nd death anniversary.”

Meanwhile, it was on March 29, 2002, when Rico Yan was found dead inside his hotel room by his friend, actor Dominic Ochoa, at the Dos Palmas Resort in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. He died of cardiac arrest due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis.
