Sabrina M: “Nung nagkaroon kami ng relasyon, itinago na lang namin ‘yun.”
SABRINA M – The actress recently spoke about her secret relationship with late Kapamilya actor Rico Yan.
The actress, whose real name is Maricaren Pallasigue, made public her long-kept secret about her relationship with the late actor during the media conference for her upcoming movie “Manang” held last Thursday, July 6, 2023.
She revealed that she had been in a romantic relationship with him for more than two years. However, she clarified that Rico Yan and actress Claudine Barretto were no longer in a relationship when she came into the picture.
Sabrina shared that she and Rico when she guested in the now-defunct Kapamilya noontime show “MTB”, but they decided to keep their relationship private in order to protect both of their careers.
According to her, the public would have something to say about her if they got wind of her relationship with him at that time.
“So kung nagkaissue kaming dalawa, maraming masasabi sa akin. So better kung nagkaroon man kami ng relasyon, itinago na lang namin yun,” the actress said.

Sabrina, who now has a family of her own, added that her relationship with Rico lasted quite long.
She also admitted that their relationship grew intimate and profound because of the actor’s exceptional kindness. But what made Sabrina admire Rico was the fact that the actor wasn’t a judgmental person.
It was last March 29, 2002 when Rico Yan died in Palawan. He was 27.
