According to him, he will be able to return to work next week. “I was cleared for discharge five days after the procedure, on the sixth-day nakauwi na ako, so naoperahan ako ng Tuesday (June 27), nakauwi ako ng Monday (July 3),” he revealed during a press briefing.

He further explained that doctors discovered blockages in his heart during his annual check-up from June 21 to 23. “So agad-agad noong June 23 ang sabi ko sa mga doktor na tumingin sa akin, lalo na ‘yung cardiologist, sabi ko magpapa-bypass ako and let’s prepare for it as soon as possible,” added the Justice chief.

It can be recalled that Remulla filed for a ten-day “wellness leave” back in June, which took effect immediately.
