Diwata is visited by social media personality Rendon Labador at his paresan
RENDON LABADOR – The controversial social media personality paid a visit to the paresan of Deo Balbuena, also known as “Diwata.”
In his Facebook post on Friday, April 19, Rendon shared his surprise visit to Diwata’s paresan. “Sabi ko nag bago na ako, kaya nga #LabLabLabador na (heart emoji) Binigyan ko ng isang buong Lechon De Las Piñas si Diwata bilang pasasalamat sa pagiging inspirasyon sa mga kababayan nating gustong mag tagumpay buhay,” Rendon said.
In a separate post, Rendon Labador shared a Facebook reel where he expressed gratitude to Diwata. “Isa ka na ngayon sa nagiging inspirasyon ng mga kabataan, ng mga negosyante, pati ‘yong mga nandito ngayon na tumatangkilik sa ‘yo,” Rendon said. “So sana, guys, suportahan natin si Diwata palagi,” he added.
It’s notable that Diwata, whose real name is Deo Balbuena, was apprehended by the operatives of the Pasay City Police Warrant and Subpoena (WSS) in Pasay City on Tuesday morning, April 16. The arrest took place around 10 a.m. at Diwata’s property on Diokno Boulevard, Brgy. 76. This action was carried out based on a warrant issued by Pasay City Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC) Judge Allan B. Ariola of Branch 48 on October 2, 2018, relating to a case of slight physical injuries. Following the arrest, Pasay City Police Chief P/Col. Mario Mayames, Jr. mentioned that Diwata was promptly released upon posting bail of P3,000.
In the meantime, the online community expressed varied reactions to the arrest of the popular street food vendor. One netizen remarked: “Filipino Mentality, kung sino man ang may Umaangat sa Buhay merong taong pilit hihilain pababa.” Another netizen commented: “Nakakalungkot na katotohanan dito satin, kapag nagsumikap ka para umasenso at umangat sa buhay meron at merong hihila sayo pababa.”
